Getting started
Find your way around the workspace
The phases, the project browser, the panels and the tools you will use most.
The workspace is one screen with four phases, a browser on the left and panels on the right.
The four phases
The tabs across the top follow the project from brief to drawings. You can move between them at any time; opening a later phase does not complete an earlier one.

| Research | Requirements, sources and files, the project brief, site data, climate, access, context, planning constraints, space program, adjacencies, area targets, codes and standards, constraints and design decisions |
| Design | Site strategy, site plan, massing, spatial plans, circulation, structural, envelope and roof strategy, studies, program fit, design options, the facade editor and the area plan |
| BIM | The 3D model, site plan, floor, ceiling and roof plans, elevations, sections, levels and grids, elements, schedules and coordination |
| Present | Sheets, the drawing register and revisions, presentation boards, saved views and the walkthrough |
The project browser
The left panel lists the views in the current phase. Choose a view to open it. Drag the divider to give more room to the tool palette below it.
The panels on the right
Use the buttons at the top right to open a panel:
- Properties for the selected element.
- Environment for the site, sun and scene.
- Bimiq agent to ask for work on the project.
- Areas for area totals.
- Analysis for studies and their settings.
- Issues and comments for review notes.
Shortcuts
- Search with Ctrl K, to jump to any view.
- Undo with Ctrl Z and Redo with Ctrl Shift Z.
