Manufacturer data lists every variant a product comes in. What makes it a submittal is the mark: the circle, tick, highlight or handwritten note showing which one is actually being provided. Read the text alone and you get the whole catalogue, and it is easy to sign off a product on the strength of an option nobody selected.
Bimiq reads the pages, not just the text layer, so it judges the variant that was marked. Where nothing is marked, it says so and drops to Needs review, instead of guessing.

A submittal has to answer more than numbers.
Bimiq reads the spec section once into a list of requirements, then judges the submittal against all of them. Not just the measurable ones a model could test, but the requirements only a reader can check, which are most of a spec section and exactly what a manual review runs out of time for.

The submittal meets or exceeds the requirement, and Bimiq can quote the line that proves it.
The submittal answers the requirement but falls short, with the offending text quoted so it is a decision, not a surprise on site.
The submittal is silent on the requirement. The most common real review comment, and the one a skimming reviewer misses.
The evidence is ambiguous, partial or unmarked, or it needs judgment Bimiq will not make for you. It hands these over rather than guess.
Every Complies or Deviates carries a verbatim quote and the page it came from. If Bimiq cannot quote it, it will not claim it, so a shaky call becomes Needs review, not a confident answer you then have to disprove.

Once every requirement has a verdict, Bimiq recommends where the submittal lands: Approved when it all checks out, Approved as Noted when the gaps are minor, Revise and Resubmit when something deviates. It stops there. Rejecting a submittal carries schedule and contract consequences, so that call stays with your team.
