What you need to start
A PDF is enough. The Bridge and the live model connection are optional, and they come later.
Bimiq reviews the documents a project already produces. You do not need to install anything, open Revit, or connect your firm's file server to get your first result.
The short version
Create a project, upload a PDF from the module you want to use, and run a check. That is the whole first loop.
Create a project
One project holds the drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and decisions for one job. Everything Bimiq knows is scoped to the project it was uploaded into.
Upload from the module you want
Each module takes its own input. Drawing QA takes a drawing set. Submittals takes a specification section, then the submittal itself. Everything you upload also appears under Documents.
Run the check
Drawing QA reviews a set sheet by sheet. Submittal Review gives each specification clause a verdict. Both work from the PDF alone.
What works with no installation
These need nothing but a file and a browser.

What needs the Bridge
The Bridge is a small application that runs on your desktop and reads the model you have open. It is required only for the parts that need a live model:
- Live Navisworks clash sync, as opposed to importing a BCF file
- Model reconciliation in Drawing QA, which compares the sheets you uploaded against the Revit model they came from
- Model actions in Project Intelligence, where the agent proposes a change and you execute it in Revit
Clash Coordination itself does not require the Bridge. It accepts BCF from any tool that exports it, and the triage, grouping and RFI workflow are identical either way. See Install the Bridge when you want the live connection.

Drawing sets must be PDF because every sheet is read as an image.
A scanned PDF works. Drawing QA and Submittal Review both read the page visually rather than parsing embedded text, so a set that was scanned rather than plotted is still reviewable. The extraction is only as good as the scan, so expect more findings marked for review on a poor one.
